In March 2019, the ILO’s Governing Body adopted a definition of recruitment fees and related costs to be read in conjunction with the General Principles and Operational Guidelines for Fair Recruitment. The updated publication can be found here. To support members with engaging with new definition, the ILO GBNFL has developed an overview of definitions currently employed by companies and industry initiatives in comparison to the newly adopted definition.
